Poopy Day at Unko Museum Yokohama!πŸ’©

There is no shortage of artsy and instagrammable places in Japan. I have been here for six years now and I feel like I have not even touched the tip of Japan's kawaii iceberg!

Recently, a new Unko Museum opened in Odaiba. Further research led me to the first one in Yokohama. Thinking the new one would be crowded cos, well, it's new- people have an affinity for all things novel, I decided to visit the older one, thinking people would flock to the newer one. Oh boy, I was so wrong. Though timed tickets can be purchased online via their website, there were still lots of people when I came one Saturday. That didn't stop me from enjoying and getting what I paid for, though. Just look at the photos from my visit below. *wink*

Ahhhh love love pastel!

I got this purple poop at the entrance- there are a handful of colorful toilets that you have to sit on and if you participate in the activity facilitated by a museum staff, you’d get one toy poop. I failed to document that one but yeah, see for yourself! *wink*

Poop in different languages! I was happy to see the Filipino word for poop! Can you guess?

The couple that poops together stays together! LolπŸ™ˆ

Fancy some poop treats?

Floating poop everywhere lol

There’s a portion of the museum where you can draw poop. Markers are provided!

Po(o)p art!

Poop volcano!

No poop, no life
Hmmm hahahaha

Poop tissue, anyone?

Like most museums in Japan, there is a museum shop where you can buy, well, poop-related things! I did not buy anything cos the items were a bit pricey but it is worth a visit!

Unko Museum is located on the second floor of the ASOBUILD building and on the first floor is a pretty food court of some sort. Of course we took pictures!πŸ˜…

We were also fortunate to find a Dumbo branch and went there cos... why not? Who says no to doughnuts, really? πŸ˜‰

The building’s facade is covered with an ASOBUILD graffiti and I took the opportunity to take a picture with my initials haha!

Headed home just in time for this beautiful scene!

Hope you had fun looking at the pictures as much as I had fun taking them! πŸ’•

You might want to check out Unko Museum if you have time. Details can be found below:
