My Life According to Imagine Dragons

For the past week, my Facebook news feed was bombarded with notes of friends and in it goes something like: "Using only song titles from one band, answer these questions. You can't use the band I used. Try not to repeat a song title. It's a lot harder than you think! Repost as "My life according to (band name)."

And since it's been ages that I last made a Facebook note, I can't find the notes tab and decided that I'll just post this here, instead. As you may have noticed, I chose Imagine Dragons, because their songs are a huge part of my playlist this year. I've included the songs' respective videos, too. :-)

Good Ol' Days

Roughly two years ago, I was with two friends at a local karaoke place in Los Banos, singing my sad heart out with beer in hand, cos that night my favorite Irish trio's concert's ongoing at Araneta Coliseum. I wasn't able to come cos the tickets were already sold out and I have summer classes then.

When I learned that they're coming back again to Manila, I checked for tickets online just in time to get myself a general admission ticket before the site posted a "Sold Out" announcement. I wish I had a nearer seat and brought a better camera along (cos the venue guidelines said DSLRs aren't allowed) but that didn't stop me from enjoying the concert last night! :-)

Bought binoculars from an Araneta boy for Php 75.00!

While waiting for the doors to open! Hello concert-mates, Janina and BJ! :)

Danny! <3

Confetti all over! So so magical! :)

The very happy kid! :>

Job well done, Danny, Glenn and Mark!

I thought The Script won't give in when the crowd chanted "We want more!" cos they've already had two encore songs, You Won't Feel A Thing (my favorite The Script song ever) and Hall of Fame.  But the then dark and empty stage lit up once again as the band played and sang Good Ol' Days, hence this post's title. Euphoriaaaa! I felt like crying! Fortunately, I managed not to! Haha!

Still high from the concert!
L-R: Macky, Janina, Danielle, yours truly

Thank you for coming to Manila, The Script! And thank you for your brilliant songs, they helped me through my dark days (if you know what I mean haha) in 2010.  Ahhh, definitely one of the best nights of my life, so far! <3

Ginger-head Love

I have known err listened to Ed Sheeran last last year, as far as I can remember. I stumbled upon his YouTube video of Drunk and actually liked it. And it led up to me searching for one song and then another. For me, he's Taylor Swift's male version.. and come to think of it, their hair colors are of the same hue. Ha ha ha sorry for being lame pointing it out. Anyway, I would just like to scream I'm a huge fan of his through this blog entry so yeah. Here's something to enjoy. :-)

Lights Changing Colour

Tadaima!

I'm back in my room-slash-own-world from my Los Banos visit. I must be really happy during my two days and one night stay there (though I often deny and say I don't even miss the place haha) that I can immensely feel today's dullness.

These days, I associate myself with Flower Boy Next Door's Go Dok Mi, a twenty-ish woman who finds complete solace in the walls of her apartment just by herself. I kind of figured out how get by the days alone, thanks to our speedy internet connection and Asian dramas. However, there are times, often when I'm trying to get myself to sleep, that my mind presents me this dilemma: Should I enjoy my remaining months here in the country and go out as often as I can with my friends or just stay at home and spend time with my grandparents and a nanny? The latter would save me money and spare me a bit from sadness in parting when the time comes, I think. Ahh, I don't know. I must solve this soon.

For the time being, hello, Stars and old school pancakes with sugar and milk.

Code Name Blue

Years ago I swore I'll never be into Kpop. But lo and behold, due to my excessive watching of Korean drama, I became lured into their songs as well! Or to CN Blue songs, specifically. Though I can't understand the lyrics, I find their songs' beats catchy and easy to the ears. And most of the time, I end up searching for the romanized and translated lyrics cos I can't bear to just listen! I wanna sing it as well haha! :-)

CN Blue's London shoot ♥

When I was in Tokyo last summer, I was thinking of buying CN Blue's album there since they are also popular in Japan. However I wasn't able to find one so I resorted to the easiest way there is. Oh the magic of world wide web! And I couldn't be more proud of the band when I learned that some of their songs have English and Nihongo versions! *clap clap*

So here are some of their songs which I like. Some of it were also used in the Kdrama entitled Heartstrings where both CN Blue members Jung Yong Hwa and Kang Min Hyuk played roles. I even have some songs saved in my phone haha! Enjoy! :-)

Glad You Came

The sun goes down
The stars come out
And all that counts
Is here and now
My universe will never be the same
I'm glad you came
I'm glad you came

Cos I'm glad I met wonderful people last 2012 and I miss partying like it's the end of the world. :)

Hey, childhood!

Last night was videoke night for my Bulacan friends and I. To my surprise, someone sang this in between up-to-date songs. And all of a sudden I caught myself reminiscing a part of my too-wonderful-that-I-don't-want-to redo-it childhood.

Our CD player (yup, old school) have had played that song for heaven knows how many, especially during Saturday morning general cleanings. My mother liked that song very mucho and I somewhat developed a liking for it, too. Never fails to give off a sunshine-yy vibe to our mornings, I must say. Hearing this now, its effect is still the same, well, at least for me.

Perfect for this coming hell week, I must say. Hope this song works wonders on your hell weeks, too! :)
